Schladminger Planai startet mit € 23 Mio. Investitionen in den Winter
Ein neues Parkhaus sowie die erste „Telemix-Seilbahn“ der Steiermark warten
117 Pistenkilometer und 53 Seilbahnen warten ab heuer in der Schladminger 4 Berge Skischaukel. Durch den Bau des Planai Parkhaus direkt im Planai-Stadion mit zusätzlichen 457 Parkplätzen gehört das lästige Parkplatzsuchen in Schladming nun endgültig der Vergangenheit an. Den Gästen auf der Planai stehen nun 1200 Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Seilbahnnähe zur Verfügung.
Parkhaus. Es wird das modernste Parkhaus Österreichs werden, völlig säulenfrei und lichtdurchflutet. Nicht nur die moderne, zeitgemäße Architektur stellt eine Novität dar: in das Planai Parkhaus kann direkt von der Piste mit den Skiern in jede einzelne Etage eingefahren werden. Einmalig – weltweit.
Hochwurzen Sun-Jet. Mit einer weiteren Attraktion wartet man heuer am Nachbarberg, der Hochwurzen auf: Unter dem Motto: Sessel, Sessel, Sessel, Gondel wurde dort die erste sogenannte Telemix-Seilbahnanlage errichtet. Das besondere daran? Auf 3 Sessel folgt eine Gondel und dies bei ein- und derselben Seilbahnanlage. Ambitionierte Skifahrer werden die Vorzüge der Sessel als Beförderungsmittel schätzen, Kinder und gemütliche Skifahrer bevorzugen meist ein geschlossenes Fahrbetriebsmittel, sprich eine Gondel. Mit dieser Anlage werden beide Zielgruppen auf der Hochwurzen ihr maßgeschneidertes Angebot finden, zumal die Hochwurzen ja bei Kindern, Anfängern und Genuss-Skiläufern aufgrund der flacheren Pisten besonders beliebt ist. 2 neue, großzügige Pisten, welche bereits ab früh morgens in der Sonne liegen, sowie eine entsprechende Schneeanlage runden das neue Angebot auf der Hochwurzen ab.
612 Beschneiungsgeräte. Auf der Planai und Hochwurzen sind ab heuer unglaubliche 612 Beschneiungsgeräte im Einsatz. Die größte Schneeanlage Österreichs steht somit in Schladming, die Fläche von rund 410 Fußballfelder wird beschneit. Schneesicherheit ist garantiert.
Neues Hotel direkt angrenzend zur Planai-Bahn
Das neue AQI Hotel öffnet noch im Dezember 2008 seine Pforten. 238 Betten in bester Lage, nur 50m von der Planai-Seilbahn-Talstation entfernt. Moderne Architektur und Lifestyle werden im AQI-Hotel miteinander vereint. Ein völlig neues Konzept für eine Skidestination steht dahinter. Infos: www.aqi-hotel.com

The legendary 3-km Fis slope from the Planai mountaintop into the valley is crowned by its finishing juncture with the famous Planai target slope. Skiers can challenge their competitors to action-packed duels on the permanent racing slope or indulge in racing on the steep piste. The hosts of the alpine huts, otherwise known as “Planai gourmets,” will provide all you need to strengthen yourself in between times. In all Planai alpine huts, the hosts offer a plate of Styrian gourmet specialties for a fixed price of € 7.90.

The Planai Ski EKG does not measure your heart rate or blood pressure but rather the metres climbed and kilometres covered on the pistes. At the end of the day, every guest of Planai and Hochwurzen can ask for a free printed record of the elevation covered (in meters)/skied (in kilometres). This year, we have added a texting service. Find out how many kilometres you skied through the mountains by text message. Receive your text any time, even during lunch.
